Alberto Ubeda-Portugués for 20 minutos In this wonderful documentary , nominated for the Goya Prizes, the segovian Marcos Borregón prefers that images talk for themselves, the beauty in itself,of children playing, that learn in the eternal poverty in the slums of Kolkata, preceded by a voice in OFF Talking about how bad are things around there. Children go to a School that is part of an educational and asistential Project of the NGO Amigos de Tara, that takes place in the busy indian city. Borregón hits showing in his work the strange mystic vibrations-the good children´s smiles- the deph of a beggar´s eyes, the idealistic golden coloured light on the water- that many times we´ve feel in fabulous films such as Louis Malle or Ricardo Franco´s films and that seems to give certain apology to the indian poverty, despite of the so called, emerging indian economy.
