Dear Amigos de Tara: We are now in the final stages of the school year. Let me remind you that in May we will deliver the final qualifications. Thus, now it’s the moment when students must make an extra effort. To do so, each classroom is focusing in summing up and revising what they have learned during the year, homework is increased and both the parents and students are reminded of their responsibilities. I will inform you about the results of the exams that are taking place in a couple of weeks. As you know, ours is a “Non formal school”, which means that, even though we follow the educational system of the Indian Government, when the moment comes, in Class VIII all of our students will have to pass an exam to accede to Class IX in an official school. In order to have a normal development for this process, and that our students are as well prepared as possible, we have already contacted the school that will host our students’ exams. To do so, an inspector is supervising our educational system, and orienting us so it will be as similar to the official as possible. This is proving really helpful, as well as reassuring, and it clarifies many doubts. Dr. Barua is still coming on a regular basis to the school, to look after our children’s health, and thanks to his good advice on nutrition and hygiene we have been able to solve lots of illnesses. It’s clearly visible how the children are now healthier. However, we are still alert and willing to solve any possible anomaly. So far, this is it. We would like to thank you all your always being there, and remind you that we are always at your disposal. Please, receive all our love. |
