The Amigos de Tara Association is a non profit entity, founded in 2005, aimed at the humanitarian development. Currently, Amigos de Tara is working in Colcata, India. Our main objetive is to covering the educational, nutritional and health necessities of the poorest, promoting a culture of solidarity between the people. Members of Tara
| Natalia Pallás Valencia. ActressBeing a teenager, I felt a deep desire of knowing India. But, when years later I travelled to that country for the first time, I could not even suspect how much it would transform my life in a positive way. I founded Tara School and Amigos de Tara, and I am the Chairperson of the Association. I manage and supervise the project and related activities, both from Colcata and Spain. Tara has helped me to understand and realize a part of my condition and task as a human being, and to have deeply present in my heart my appreciation, gratitude and respect for the world and its inhabitants |

Back then, I met Natalia and I liked very much the project she was starting, so I joined the team to collaborate with them. From that moment on, I became the Vice-Chairperson of the Association. In October, 2005, I visited the school in Colcata, and it was an unforgettable experience, which encouraged me even more to stay within this family trying to make life more pleasant for those kids. My collaboration with Tara began two years ago, when I started my own company, a natural cosmetics laboratory (Taller Amapola), since right from the beginning I knew for sure that a 0’7 % of the sales would be devoted to social projects |

I am linked with Amigos de Tara due to my friendship with Natalia. Currently I am the Secretary of the Association. But, since we are quite few in number, I also lend a hand in everything I can. I made the video you can watch here, and I am prepairing some new material for another feature. My experiences in cooperation began back in 1995. I have worked with other N.G.O.’s in Africa, South America and Asia. Tara brings me the chance of giving back a minimal part of what life has given me |
